Payments made through Venmo or Check.

* We recommend arriving at least a day early to acclimate to the time change. Flying into Rome (FCO) is the best option for this trip. However, some people come early and explore other parts of Italy or Europe. I will be helping by sending good deals on flights that arise fairly frequently. Prices range between $450-650 /round trip to Rome.

Is the vaccine required on this trip?
Yes, not for any political reasons of my own but because it if you don't have a vaccine card you will be required to get a covid test every 48 hours in order to enter any of the excursions and cathedrals or tours. Logistically it will change the flow of the tour. A vaccine card allows us to travel smoothly. This might change but having come from there recently a vaccine card is the easiest.

Is this trip for me?
This trip is designed to be nimble so we can bop in and out of small towns. Once we leave Rome everything we bring will be placed in two 9-passenger vans. That being said we follow the Rick Steves rule of ONE carry-on. Pack for five days and we will have laundry abilities at the villa.

Because we will be walking a considerable amount this trip requires participants be able to walk up to five miles a day and keep up with a group. Many cities in Italy are built on hills and we will be walking a considerable amount..

In an effort to create a more fun environment I book out entire houses, villas or apartments for the most part. If you are not comfortable sharing space with other humans this might not be for you. That being said, each couple will have their own room and with an exception or two their own bathroom, At times beds will need to be pushed together to form one large bed. The rooms are clean and you will be comfortable but we definitely err on the side of adventure over luxury.

Booking: A deposit of $1000 per person is due to hold your spot.
The deposit can be refunded up until 3 months prior to departure.
In the case Italy won't let us in due to Covid, all deposits will be returned and the trip will be canceled. This occurred in 2020 and all deposits were returned.
The remaining balance is due one month prior to the beginning of the trip August 24, 2022.

It is likely Covid Vaccines will be required in Italy. We will monitor this situation and make a better call as we go but right now the vaccine is the easiest way to travel in Italy.
